Autobiography
One can easily find Professor's scientific and systematic approach in any of his works, whether in writing books, organizing seminars/symposia. His approach to his own biography is in quite a commendable and appreciable style. Professor has divided his life into FIVE distinctive time-zones: his education [1916 - 1941], his life in a High School [1941 - 1950], his life in a Training College [1950 - 1960], his life in an University [1960 - 1977] and his retired life at Chennai [1977 - 2006].
Based on these broad classification, he started penning down his own life, domestic affairs, academic experiences and personal experiences (both bitter as well as better) during each period and, published them into four volumes in the name of 'Ninaivuk-kumizhikal'. Before he completed the fifth volume covering the period (1977 - 2006), he passed away on 1 May 2006.
Professor records several instances of his life in a highly graphic style, sometimes scintillating with minute details, making use of his unique and phenomenal photographic memory. In fact, these four volumes emphatically narrate the rustic/urban life style, educational process/administration, cultural background of villages in Tamilnadu, especially in Trichy district. These volumes give a vivid picture about Professor's association with several eminent people in every walk of life, such as, Tamil scholars, educational administrators, educational promoters, teachers, professors, vice-chancellors, religious saints, doctors, scientists, philanthropists, agriculturalists, freedom-fighters, rationalists, linguists, politicians, etc.
