Positions Held
Professor Dr N Subbu Reddiar held a variety of responsible positions at several stages in many number of institutions. Several universities/institutions/organizations had utilised his knowledge and expertise to their advantage. During this period, Professor made immense contributions to the development of Tamil language, literature, education, educational administration and research. His organizing capacity and high analytical skill in approaching/handling problems were well known in academic circles.
He was very meticulous in complying with laid down rules/regulations at all stages; on some occasions, his insistence of strict compliance of procedures irked higher authorities, as they could not accomplish their own whims and fancies. His courage to fight against injustice done to himself/any body was simply terrible. He tactfully managed the very tricky as well as non-sensical situation in his life - while serving in Tamilnadu, Professor was considered as non-Tamil person and while serving in Tirupathi [Andhra Pradesh], he was treated as a person from Tamilnadu.

Initiated starting of five High Schools in the neighbourhood for the benefit of Telugu speaking Tamils. Initiated starting of Tamil section up to Degree level in four colleges.
