Professor's career spreads to 65 long years. During this period, he had written several books, numbering 135, on a variety of topics, such as Pedagogy, Tamil Literature, Tamil Language, Literary Criticism, Religion, Philosophy, Biography, Autobiography, Pilgrimage, Autobiography, etc. Nearly 10 books have been prescribed as text books by almost all Universities in Tamilnadu for the students pursuing MA, MPhil and BEd. His book entitled, "Tamil Payitrum Murai" is considered to be his magnam opus in Pedagogy and has been as an authority in the field for more than 55 years.
Professor had translated three science books into Tamil [one of which is under UNESCO project] and translated three biographical books on behalf of Sahitya Akademi. Some of his books were awarded PRIZES by Government of Tamilnadu and University of Madras. His PhD thesis, "Religion and Philosophy of Nalayira Divya Prabhandham with special reference to Nammalvar" is considered as a monumental work on Vaishnavism.
